Below you will find some of the most common questions I get asked by first time clients regarding what to expect with therapy, fees, insurance, frequency of therapy, length of sessions and more.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to me by email or call to book a consult.
The good news is you don’t have to decide at your first session. I invite you to come to our property, experience the environment, and determine which model feels the most effective for you. This can be a fluid conversation in our work together.
A typical session is 50 minutes. We can do occasional longer sessions if needed, which occurs most frequently in family therapy settings.
This greatly varies per client and depends on the symptoms we are aiming to treat. Sometimes 6-10 sessions can bring about substantial growth and change. For the more acute disorders our work together can be substantially longer.
The first session tends to be primarily us getting to know each other and gathering history and background. We will identify your goals for treatment and determine what will be the most effective model to meet those goals.
I do not accept insurance, however many patients receive reimbursement through out of network coverage. I can provide a receipt for you to submit to insurance, if your plan offers out of network coverage.
I have a limited number of sliding scale spots in my practice and often employ interns who offer services at a lower cost
We are located on Union Hill in Redmond, Washington
Yes, I offer both phone and video sessions.
I work with patients of all ages, as long as they are interested in engaging in the therapeutic process.
If we determine that medication is something you would like to pursue, I will consult with your current doctor or refer you to a psychiatrist who can manage your medications.
What is the next step?
I offer a free 15 minute phone consult to gather more information and determine if we are an appropriate fit. Feel free to reach out to set up a phone call and/or initial session.
